These 2 players need to be on Mourinho’s Man Utd summer transfer wish-list

It seems that Manchester United are always involved in every game that has been shown at the Transfer Tavern of late.

The Red Devil’s Europa League triumph over Anderlecht was the latest success shown on the Tavern’s screens as Marcus Rashford’s cool extra time winner sent the United fans into raptures, finishing off a great week for Jose Mourinho’s men following last weekend’s win against Chelsea.

Mourinho’s target must now surely turn to winning the European competition and a semi final against Celta Vigo should not be a problem for a side, whose form has really improved over the cause of the season.

A triumph in Europe will also guarantee Champions League for the Red Devils which is the least the punters in the Tavern expect from their side.

Of course, our landlord has weighed in on the matter and he has made the point that Mourinho has to improve his squad if United qualify for the Champions League and really sign players that possess great x-factor and the ability to win games on their European nights.

Whilst many Red Devils in the Tavern are arguing that United already have these players coming through in the likes of Rashford and Frenchman, Antony Martial – they can’t turn down a big signing and have listed TWO players that Mourinho simply has to sign in the summer.

Let’s take a look at what they’ve come up with…

Antoine Griezmann

The world’s worst kept secret has seen it let slip that United are interested in the Atletico Madrid star and our landlord believes Mourinho has to make signing Griezmann a priority, in order to take his team to the next level.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future unclear, a goalscorer may well be needed and Griezmann may be tempted to join fellow Frenchman, Paul Pogba and Antony Martial at Old Trafford in the near future as the club look to retain the dominance that they held for so many years under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Franck Kessie

With Kessie himself saying ‘it would be a dream to join Manchester United’, will the Ivorian link up with international Eric Bailly in the red half of Manchester?

Our landlord certainly believes it would be a fantastic move for the Red Devils with Michael Carrick not getting any younger, could the 20-year-old be the perfect replacement for the ever dependable Englishman?

Our resident United fans in the Tavern certainly believe so and although they would like Monaco’s Tiemoué Bakayoko to join their club, Kessie’s love of Manchester United makes him a much more desirable option for the Red Devils.
