What a season it’s been for our resident Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern!

They have seen their young side mount a late challenge for the Premier League title as well as reaching the semi finals of the FA Cup, and our landlord believes the future is very bright for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and another title challenge will surely be on the cards for the Lilywhites next season.

With that said, our landlord has also pointed out that Spurs do need to strengthen in order to take that extra step to the title next season, and he has been down in his beer cellar after hours casting his beady eye over the names that Poch and his scouting team really need to take a look at and bring to the club.

These players’ names have carried over into the Transfer Tavern and as always, the discussion has been very lively with the Tottenham fans putting in their views on who they want to see arrive in the white half of North London, and there has been some interesting names thrown around to say the least.

With all that said, let’s take a look at the key TWO players that Pochettino must try and bring to Spurs this summer…

Ross Barkley

Many of the Tottenham fans fail to see why their side need to sign Barkley but our landlord says the prospect of Barkley, Dele Alli and Christain Eriksen behind Harry Kane would be one hell of an attacking threat in the Premier League.

The signing of Barkley would increase an offensive strength in depth that hasn’t quite materialised at Spurs this season with the failures of both Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen at the North London club.

Marcelo Brozovic

Although Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele have been outstanding for the Lilywhites this season, our landlord believes signing Brozovic will take Pochettino’s men to the next level in order to bring the Premier League to the white half of North London.

The Inter Milan midfielder has been offered to Spurs and with the possibility of Erik Lamela going the other way to the San Siro, the offer could well be on when the Summer comes around.
