Rangers fans here in the Tavern are less than impressed with how their side finished the current campaign, after failing to produce consistent performances in the Scottish Premiership.

Of course, supporters will be delighted that their side has secured European football for next season, but there’s still room for improvement in the Scottish Premiership as they failed to challenge Celtic. Indeed, this could seriously harm the Gers’ chances next season, as a number of key first-team players may decide to head for the exits after a stressful campaign.

Sadly, defender David Bates has decided to leave the club in a shock move to Hamburg, after establishing himself as one of the club’s brightest prospects in the current campaign. So, with other clubs possibly attempting to lure some of Rangers’ biggest talents away from Ibrox in the summer transfer window, they may head into next season looking worse for wear.

Nevertheless, here’s look at TWO players that should do their best to follow David Bates out of Rangers this summer…

Jason Holt

Sadly, Jason Holt has lost his way in the current campaign as January transfer window signings took their toll, with a summer transfer window exit looking likely as he goes on in search of regular first-team football.

Although, there’s no doubt that the midfielder has always impressed when he’s been given an opportunity, but it looks as if he’ll have to settle for being a squad rotation player if he wants a future at Ibrox.

Therefore, the 25-year-old should look to follow David Bates out of the exits in the summer transfer window, as he’s still in the early stages of his career, so he should look to enjoy regular football elsewhere.

Kenny Miller

Kenny Miller could be enjoying his last season at Ibrox after failing to break into the side during the second half of the season, as Jason Cummings and Alfredo Morelos remain ahead of him in the pecking order.

Indeed, a lack of minutes has been a big problem for the veteran as regular football is desperately needed at this stage in his career, with a number of years still left in him.

So without further ado, Miller should look to leave his beloved Rangers behind with regular first-team football being the main aim, as he can still produce at the pinnacle of the attack, having provided four goals in the current campaign.
