These 2 Rangers players are surely playing for their futures under Graeme Murty

Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can move on from defeat in their last outing, as a European spot is looking less than certain for the Bluenoses.

The Gers have been sensational so far this season as Rangers’ closest challengers for large parts, as European football is now the main aim for the Glasgow side. However, they followed up their Old Firm derby loss in the worst possible manner, as Kilmarnock inflicted a second successive defeat on Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.

Indeed, with Graeme Murty’s side going through a rough patch at the worst possible time in their season, there could be a number of chances handed to fringe players from here on in. Although, with there still lots to play for in the remainder of the current campaign, there could be limited opportunities for members of the squad to impress.

Therefore, here’s a look at TWO Rangers players that are surely playing for their futures under Murty…

Fabio Cardoso

Fabio Cardoso has made a slow start to life in Scotland after joining in the summer transfer window, as he’s been kept out of the side for large parts of the current campaign.

Indeed, the Portuguese defender has looked less than convincing in the appearances he’s made for the club thus far, with David Bates, Bruno Alves and Russell Martin all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Therefore, the 23-year-old really needs to get his act together from here on in until the end of the season, after failing to impress Murty during his time at Ibrox up to this point.

Eduardo Herrera

Eduardo Herrera made the move over from Mexico in the summer transfer window, but has failed to live up to expectations after producing a number of unconvincing performances.

Indeed, the 29-year-old has only managed to start in three of his 22 appearances for the Bluenoses, with a poor return of two goals to show for his efforts thus far.

Therefore, the striker desperately needs to up his game from here on in until the end of the season, if he’s given a chance in the side ahead of Jason Cummings and Alfredo Morelos.
