Russell Martin joined on loan from Norwich City in the January transfer window and has played most of Rangers’ games ever since, but many of our local residents are unsure on whether they’d want to see him join permanently.
Indeed, the Scotsman has been error-prone in recent times as defensive mistakes continue to cause problems, with David Bates’ injury giving manager Graeme Murty slim pickings.
Therefore, Martin has it all to prove against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, as another poor performance could see him miss out on a permanent move in the summer.
Andy Halliday
Sadly, Andy Halliday has failed to break into the starting lineup in the current campaign as a summer transfer window exit could be in the offing, having offered very little in what has been a very poor season.
Indeed, the 26-year-old was extremely angry with Graeme Murty after being brought off against Celtic in the Scottish Cup, which could be a turning point when the club makes a decision on his future.
