The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been impressed with a number of players in their side’s squad so far this season. Jurgen Klopp is building quite the team, and it’s full of fantastic individuals.
Mohamed Salah has earned a lot of praise this season, and rightly so. He’s currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer, and with his mazy runs and electric pace, the Egyptian is sure to score more than a few goals over the coming weeks too. Beyond him, the likes of Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho have been important, and collectively, the Reds are looking pretty good.
However, there are a number of young players within the Liverpool squad that also look destined for big things. Klopp has been wise and given many a chance this season, and against Bournemouth this weekend, he should do the same.
With so much talent in the youth ranks, Klopp’s preparation for the future should be starting now, whilst many of his youngsters will also be able to do a job in the present.
With that said, these 2 under-21 players could make all the difference for Liverpool against Bournemouth…

Joe Gomez
Joe Gomez was relegated to the bench against West Brom, but a return to the first team against Bournemouth is essential.
He’s been arguably the most impressive breakout member in the Liverpool squad this season. Whilst many of Klopp’s defensive choices have been questionable this term, he deserves a lot of credit for giving Gomez so many minutes.
Providing consistent defensive quality at the back, both out wide and in the middle, Gomez is a future star. But he’s also proving very useful in the present.
Trend Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been in and out of the Liverpool first team this season.
He’s been decent at times, and slightly better at others, but it’s clear that the Englishman is one of the most talented youngsters at Anfield.
With Nathaniel Clyne not fit, he’s quickly emerging as a prime option for Jurgen Klopp at right back, providing pace and defensive solidity when playing against some of the Premier League’s best.
He looked good against West Brom, and he could do a job on Sunday too.
