Wolverhampton Wanderers fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can secure promotion as soon as possible, with many wanting to start the celebrations early. 

Wolves have been the standout performers so far this season in the Championship, as they remain on course for promotion to the Premier League and may even secure the title. Indeed, after suffering a demoralising defeat against Aston Villa a few games back they’ve responded in the best possible fashion, as they got their promotion push back on track with two successive wins against Reading and Burton Albion.

Although, with promotion to the Premier League still not confirmed for Wolverhampton Wanderers, it’s unlikely that a number of fringe players in the squad will be given a chance. But, having seen Nuno Espirito Santo introduce youngster Morgan Gibbs-White in the second half of the season, there could be a glimmer of hope for other squad members.

Danny Batth

Danny Batth was one of the key figures in Wolves’ promotion to the Championship, but has struggled to work his way into Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans so far this season.

Indeed, the 27-year-old has failed to come to terms with the club’s possession-based approach, as the defender has struggled to play passes out from the back in the current campaign.

Therefore, having lost out on a place in the starting XI after the heavy defeat against Aston Villa, it looks as if Danny Batth will need to develop his game from here on in to ensure he has a future at Molineux.

Bright Enobakhare

Bright Enobakhare was a key member of the squad towards the start of the campaign after chipping in with a couple of goals, but has lost his way in the second half of the season as Helder Costa and Diogo Jota continue to perform at the highest level.

Indeed, the Nigerian is definitely one for the future having shown moments of brilliance during his time at the club, however, his greediness has got in the way on numerous occasions as a negative aspect of his game.

Therefore, there’s still a lot of changes that the 20-year-old needs to make before he can even think of a future at the club, after struggling to come to terms with a tiring Championship season.
