Another transfer window has passed and it was arguably one of the most important ones Spurs had for years.
The local Lilywhites punters here in the Transfer Tavern wanted to see their club make use of the fact they’ll be playing Champions League football this season, and sign plenty of new players to improve an already exciting squad.
To some extent they got their wish, four new players were signed and whilst that may not be the quantity being hoped for, it could just be the right quality.
Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Vincent Janssen have all come in as Spurs look to challenge on both European and domestic fronts.
The White Hart Lane faithful will be hoping the four take after some of their best signings from the last few years, there’s certainly been some crackers, and that’s why our landlord is bringing you THREE of the best Tottenham signings from the last five years.

Mousa Dembele
Dembele signed for Spurs in 2012 after impressing in Fulham’s midfield and he’s gone from strength to strength.
He’s a real powerhouse in the centre of the park, winning the ball, driving the team forward and creating all kinds of havoc for the opposition.
He doesn’t score many but he doesn’t need to because he’s such a midfield force.
He’s a huge reason why Spurs find themselves in the Champions League this year, and he’ll walk back into the side once match fit after his suspension.
Toby Alderweireld
Another Belgian, the former Atletico Madrid man was the Premier League’s best defender last season as Spurs went in search of the title.
He’s not scared to get hurt and put his foot in and despite only signing last season, he seems to have built a ridiculously good understanding with Jan Vertonghen at the back.
Our landlord reckons he really looks as though he could be the club’s best defender since Ledley King – high praise indeed.
Hugo Lloris
Lloris signed for the club in 2012 and in the four years since he has gone on to become a genuinely world class goalkeeper.
The Spurs number one spot is going nowhere fast in the next few years with him only being 29, and that could mean his best years may even be yet to come.
He deserves to be playing in the Champions League so the Lilywhites need to make sure they’re delivering that regularly to keep him in the future.
