These 3 Celtic players are incredibly underrated – Agreed?

Oddly for Celtic, two years under Ronny Deila saw the club stagnate on their way to two Scottish Premiership titles.

An odd sentence to read perhaps, though the Bhoys failed to truly kick as the Norwegian’s tenure came to a sour end.

Still, with Brendan Rodgers now at the helm, the Glasgow giants have a dynamic new project to embark on.

The likes of Mousa Dembele, Kolo Toure and Scott Sinclair have been drafted in to help the Hoops in Europe, joining the likes of Leigh Griffiths and Scott Brown in carrying lofty expectation.

While big names have made their way North of the Border, part of Rodgers’ appeal is his ability to develop talent.

Though he had the impeccable Luis Suarez to call on during his time at Liverpool, the Northern Irishman helped a reasonably mediocre Reds side to within touching distance of the league title.

Clearly, the likes of Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge are of a higher quality to those currently in his ranks, but could Rodgers improve what he has inherited in a similar fashion?

Here’s a look at THREE underrated Celtic stars who are incredibly underrated.

Liam Henderson

Liam Henderson was hugely impressive on loan at Hibernian last year, helping the Hibees secure an emotional Scottish Cup.

Though he broke into the Bhoys’ ranks in good fashion a couple of years ago, injuries and competition for places saw his progress stall somewhat.

On paper, the 20-year-old is exactly the sort of player to flourish in a Rodgers team.

Tom Rogic

It’s not as if Tom Rogic doesn’t receive plaudits, but does the Austrailian receive enough?

Excellent at keeping the ball moving and circulating play, his energy and drive should put him in good stead under the former Swansea City coach.

Needs to add more goals to his game, but a fine player.

Leigh Griffiths

Leigh Griffiths

Ok, so Leigh Griffiths is clearly one of the club’s most important players.

But should the striker be heralded as a top goalscorer more than he already he is? Perhaps the wider footballing public should pay more attention to the Scotland international.

Little about his all-round game suggests he couldn’t cut it at a higher level, or even for the Bhoys in the Champions League.
