Whilst Chelsea are still yet to make any major waves in the transfer market this summer, the punters here at the Tavern are still optimistic going into the business end of the window.
Antonio Conte is obviously a manager with Italian expertise, given his time with the Italian national side and his career in Serie A, and this has dictated a lot of what the media has been reporting with regards to his transfer targets this summer.
Rumours have been making the rounds in the tavern over the weekend over who else Conte might be interested in, and a league that keeps cropping up is La Liga.
With a host of world class talents on show, it is of no surprise that the Blues might look towards the Spanish league to scout out some extra talent.
With that, here are THREE La Liga players that Conte MUST sign for Chelsea this summer…
Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann has been a Chelsea target since he joined Athletico Madrid a couple of years ago, and his exploits since that transfer will certainly have done him no harm.
Since joining the club he has bagged 44 goals in 75 games, cementing his place as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.
His market value is likely to sky rocket going forward, with his excellent performances continuing into the European Championship tournament over the last few weeks.
At just 25-years-old, this French star is only getting better and his price is only going up. If Chelsea are keen on the striker; they need to capture him this summer.
Andre Gomes

Another player that Chelsea have been keen on for a while is Andre Gomes.
The Portugease midfielder has also been displaying his talent this summer, playing a starring role alongside Cristiano Ronaldo as Portugal look to regain their international form.
The player shares many traits with Cesc Fabregas, who has been largely inconsistent this summer and might be on his way out of the club.
At just 22-years-old, Gomes could lead that Chelsea midfield for years to come, and his exploits this summer have reaffirmed what we all expected; he is top quality.
Sign him up.
Alvaro Morata

This situation is a strange one, given that Morata has been bought back to Real Madrid from Serie A champions Juventus, but is seemingly still on the market.
The deal with this transfer surrounds Real Madrid’s buy back clause that they placed in the players contract for a fee of around £20 million when they sold him to the Italian side.
Whilst Madrid are seemingly not interested in the player long term, they now have the opportunity to move the Spaniard on for a considerably larger fee.
Whilst the water’s remain a bit murky over this deal; what is for certain is the quality that Morata has, not only contributing goals but also highlighting his excellent transitional play.
At just 23, he has years to improve; and has shown over the last year that his quality on the field is world class.
