Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool revolution is under way, with the German boss bringing in a whole host of new talent as he looks to revitalise his squad in preparation for a title challenge next season.
Huge names like Sadio Mane have already been brought in, with more names expected to be added to the 5+ signings that have been made so far.
An unfortunate consequence of that fact is that Liverpool will likely have to sell players in order to facilitate the new size of their squad; and they will have to do it this summer.
In fact, out landlord thinks we might just see 3 HUGE names on their way out of Anfield this summer.
With that, here are THREE players that should leave Liverpool and find a new club….
Simon Mignolet
Simon Mignolet has always received a bit of unfair criticism from Liverpool fans here in the Tavern.
Whilst he was never spectacular and he did produce a number of key mistakes; he is a relatively solid keeper and has done a job between the sticks for Liverpool in recent years.
The signing of Loris Karius has thrown his future into doubt however, with the young keeper looking impressive in pre-season and likely to become the side’s number 1 next year.
If Mignolet is happy to be second choice Liverpool will probably let him stay; but if he wants to kick on and be a starter week in week out – it is best if he moves on.
Alberto Moreno
Another unpopular player from the Liverpool section of the Football Transfer Tavern, Moreno’s time as Liverpool left back is up.
He was poor last season, both defensively and offensively – and Jurgen Klopp is seeking a replacement.
Jonas Hector has been linked, and that deal could happen within the next few weeks, and Alberto Moreno will likely be shipped out to fund the move.
He is a good player; he just isn’t suited to the Premier League.
Mario Balotelli
Mario Balotelli’s spell at Liverpool has been nothing short of a disaster.
You would have thought Liverpool would have learned from his previous exploits at other clubs, but his time at Anfield has been marred by controversy and inconsistency.
He hasn’t produced anything of note in a Liverpool shirt, and Liverpool NEED to sell him. The issue at this point is that no clubs actually want to sign him, so that might be easier said than done.
