These 3 players could follow Joe Gomez out on loan from Liverpool in January

Joe Gomez has the potential to be a future Liverpool starter, and the Reds here in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the former Charlton starlet.

Even Jürgen Klopp himself has described the defender as one for the future.

However with competition for places being much harder this season and with Gomez coming back from a horrific injury – It might be time to send the Englishman out on loan.

Joe Gomez might not be the only player who will benefit from a loan move at Anfield.

Liverpool have some of the best emerging talents in football but they just aren’t ready to take that big step in the first team.

So with that being said, our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern has selected THRE players that could follow Joe Gomez out on loan in January…..

Marko Grujic

Grujic could be another player who becomes a starter for Liverpool in a couple of years.

However right now the player needs game time and that’s why he should go out on loan.

Grujic arrived at Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in the summer, and despite impressing in pre-season, his game time has been limited.

At the age of 20, Grujic is at a pivotal point of his development and so he needs to be playing games.

The midfielder is highly regarded as a future star and so he should easily be able to go on loan to a Championship or lower Premier League team, in order to gain some match experience.

Kevin Stewart

Stewart

Kevin Stewart has been with Liverpool for two years now and somehow the defensive midfielder has not made many first team appearances.

Now at the age of 23, it’s vital that Stewart goes out on loan to get some game time.

Stewart has been on the bench this season for Liverpool and so maybe a successful loan spell at a club could help him make a push for the first team next season.

The Englishman needs to either get more minutes at Liverpool or go on loan to another club.

If the player is constantly stuck on the bench for Liverpool then Stewart may never develop into the player that Liverpool fans thought he could become.

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are shuddering by the bar at the thought that Stewart could have the same fate as Jack Rodwell or Scott Sinclair.

Danny Ings

The former Burnley man has had a very unfortunate start to his Liverpool career.

Despite starting his career in good form, Ings suffered a knee Injury that put the striker out for the whole of the 2015/16 season and it is only now that the Englishman has recovered.

However, the Liverpool Ings was apart of is totally different than the Liverpool right now.

Ings has not started a Premier League game yet this season due to him still gaining match fitness, so a loan move would be the perfect opportunity for him to be fully fit for next season.

Ings missed a total of 50 games for Liverpool and so the striker might need to play some games away from Liverpool to fully get his match fitness back.
