The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very happy with how they’re season is going so far.

The Burnley loss aside, the Reds have been impressive in every game they’ve played so far this season – with good wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester in particular, as well as a decent point from the game at White Hart Lane against Spurs.

All of that has been thanks to Jurgen Klopp’s ability to get his side to play how he wants them to play.

The Reds are now one of the biggest pressing and hardest running outfits in the league and they certainly know how to carry out Klopp’s game-plan.

This scintillating start has led many to think they are one of the favourites for the league and our landlord is included in that.

The Anfield side really could do it and here are the THREE main reasons why…

Attacking prowess

The Reds are lethal going forward.

They attack in a swarm of pace and verve leaving the opposition completely flummoxed as to how to stop them and that’s why they’ve been scoring so many goals.

Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane have all been flying this season whilst Daniel Sturridge is an option too, it’s a frightening front line.

Big game mentality

The performances in the big games were impressive last season and it looks as though they’ve carried on into this one.

Liverpool have beaten Arsenal and Chelsea fairly convincingly and could have arguably got more than a draw against Spurs.

If they carry that on against the other big clubs this season they’ll be right up towards the top of the league.

Improved against ‘lesser sides’

Whilst their big-game form is widely acknowledged, it was their ability to do against the other sides that caused doubt earlier this season.

The club lost to Burnley and many felt that if they continued in that fashion they wouldn’t get near winning the league but recent games against Hull and Swansea have suggested they’re ready to allay those fears.

If they do they’ve got a real chance of the title.
