These 3 signings would refresh Liverpool ahead of next season

The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see Jurgen Klopp build on what is turning out to be a successful season, despite not winning any trophies as of yet.

Liverpool are one of the most dangerous sides in Europe on their day, as they proved twice against Man City this year and our regulars have watched in shock as they have dominated their opposition over the last few months. Although the start of the season was a little bit rocky, following the signing of Virgil van Dijk, he seems to have steadied the ship ever so slightly – and that’s all they needed.

Klopp and FSG should be looking at a few key areas to build upon this summer window, as the team that they have created can only go from strength to strength if the right players are brought in. Our barman thinks The Reds could be genuine title contenders next year – especially if they were to bring in a few players to enhance the squad.

Improvements are needed in a couple of positions, so the Liverpool owners have their work cut out to have a productive summer.

With that said, our landlord takes a look at what THREE players FSG need to bring Klopp this summer to give the Reds a refreshed look next season…

Alisson

The Roma keeper has been on Klopp’s radar since the winter window. Klopp desperately needs a number one between the sticks on a permanent basis, with much of the up and down form in the first half of the season being mainly down to the confusion of who was playing behind the defence on match day

For Klopp to mount a serious challenge, the Brazilian number one has got to be high on the shopping list in the summer.

He is far more consistent than both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, and just like Virgil van Dijk, the Brazilian could make the difference to take the Reds to the next level.

Harry Maguire

The English centre-back would fit perfectly into Klopp’s side alongside Virgil Van Dijk – this pairing would certainly have it all. Maguire likes to play out from the back and dribble when possible into the midfield to start the counter-attack for his team.

With Klopp’s gung-ho tactics and the focus very much on attacking, a signing like the Leicester defender could be the final piece of the German’s jigsaw. Powerful, consistent and defensively solid – he ticks all the boxes needed to be a success.

Thomas Lemar

The versatile Monaco player could be the perfect signing for Klopp, he can play down either wing or direct through the middle. Adding the Frenchman to the already fantastic front three would certainly level up the Reds and make them a little more dangerous than they already are!

Still, many of our regulars believe Lemar could be a real success at Anfield, despite only grabbing a couple of goals this term in Ligue 1, which Klopp would certainly work on during his time at Anfield.
