Manchester United are known for blooding youth into their first team, with the punters in the Transfer Tavern waxing poetic over the likes of the Busby Babes and the Class of ’92.
It is absolutely inherent to their culture and tradition.
Despite appointing Jose Mourinho as manager, someone who is not known for putting his faith in youth readily, he has already seen how important Marcus Rashford could be to United.
Still, there is more than Rashford developing within their famed youth ranks.
The Manchester United U-21 squad prevailed last year and at times looked excellent while under the stewardship of Warren Joyce.
According to our Landlord, some of the players in that group are good enough to be given their Manchester United debut or even given a lengthy role in the first team squad.
The punters here in the Tavern have analysed United’s impressive youth line up and think these four players, who you may not be aware of, could creep up on the first team in the near future.

RoShaun Williams
The centre-half was magnificent for the U21s last season. The Whalley-Range-born defender is only 17 but looked double that age with his composure and confidence in the squad last season.
His form was finally rewarded by former manager Louis Van Gaal who promoted him to the first-team squad for the Europa League last 16 tie against Liverpool.
In 2014, Williams hit the headlines but it wasn’t for his footballing ability.
The central defender had just smashed his school’s 25-year-old 100m sprint record as he defeated former Olympic Gold medallist Darren Campbell.
During the U21 Manchester derby he marshalled Manu Garcia and Bersant Celina, two of City’s best players, out of the game.
Axel Tuanzebe
Tuanzebe is also a promising young centre back in United’s youth ranks. Had he not been injured for four months last season, he was destined for a game or two for the senior side.
Instead, Williams stepped up in his shadows and despite making the first team squad a couple of times, Tuanzebe never got off the bench for the first team.
Eric Bailly has performed very well so far but there is no reason that Tuanzebe cannot sneak into the first team squad once again this season.
He has a fantastic reading of the game, similarly to Daley Blind, but he has far more pace and athleticism so expect to see more of him soon.
Sean Goss
Like Tuanzebe, Goss was playing magnificently before an unfortunate back injury blighted his season half way through the campaign.
The midfielder was called up to the first-team squad for the Champions League fixture against Wolfsburg last season and will hope for more of the same this season under Jose Mourinho.
If he can fight back from his injury and work hard, the punters here see no reason that can’t happen.
He is a neat and skilful performer and United fans should be excited about him.
With Michael Carrick slowly nearing the end of his career, Goss seems like a perfect replacement to step into his shadow as a young home grown product.
Devonte Redmond
Like the other Redmond gracing the Premier League, Devonte is an attacking minded midfielder who is very willing and able.
He is known to be very elegant on the ball but also has pace to burn and a few tricks up his sleeves, too.
The midfielder was rewarded for a breakthrough season with a new contract in June 2016.
With the abundance of talent in the United first team, it will be hard for him to find a chance in the United first team but with cup games aplenty, he will be hoping that Mourinho gives him his chance to shine.
