Sadio Mane looks set to be moving to Liverpool in a reported £34 million move from Southampton.
The Reds punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing this move for sometime now, and most agree that he’s a good player capable of adopting Jurgen Klopp’s high pressing game.
The German is embarking on his first summer transfer window at Anfield, as he looks to turn the side into Champions League contenders and build on two cup final losses from last season’s League cup and Europa League exploits.
Klopp has a reputation for building a side and turning them into title winners, after what he did with former club Dortmund and the Reds fans are eager to see a return the glory days of the 1980’s.
Every signing Klopp makes will be scrutinised with this in mind then, and our landlord at the Transfer Tavern thinks this FIVE could be the next on Klopp’s wishlist…..

Mario Gotze
It’s anyone’s guess as to whether this will happen or not as it seems almost daily a new side to the story emerges.
The German World Cup winner has been on the periphery for Bayern Munich in recent times, and may fancy trying to re-establish himself at Liverpool under his old boss Jurgen Klopp.
Saying that, he might want to prove himself at Bayern and so for this one, time will only tell.
Lucas Moura
The young Brazilian could be a real star in the future and has excelled at PSG.
He hit 13 goals from 32 games last season for the Parisians from midfield, and would add to the Reds attacking threat considerably.
Throw into the mix that he’d be playing alongside his countrymen Philipe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, and you get a potential line up that looks like it could give defences nightmares.
Neven Subotic
The Serbian defender has announced he’s going to leave Borussia Dortmund this Summer and this has reportedly put the Reds on alert.
The defender was key in Klopp’s Bundesliga winning sides, and could be up for a chance to reunite with his former boss as the German looks to shore up a leaky Reds defence.
Loris Karius and Joel Matip have already been brought in to aid this and Subotic would be a welcome addition.
Ben Chilwell
Big things are expected of Chilwell and Leicester will be doing everything they can to keep hold of him.
The young Englishman is yet to really break through at the Foxes but it’s only a matter of time before he does so any potential bid from Liverpool may come before his stock rises.
Klopp is known for wanting to work with promising youth prospects and Chilwell certainly fits this profile.
Mahmoud Dahoud
Another young star that would benefit from Klopp’s tutelage, Dahoud is making a name for himself in Germany.
The Monchengladbach man is a midfielder who already has shown his ability to pull the strings and this is exactly what Liverpool’s midfield needs.
No-one at the club can really dictate the tempo of the game at the moment so maybe if Klopp can bring in Dahoud the young German could be the answer.
