Scottish football fans in the Transfer Tavern have been rubbishing comments from former Rangers number one, Andy Goram via The Daily Record. The former Scottish shot-stopper has claimed that Steven Gerrard should get his boots back out of the cupboard and get on the pitch as well as in the dugout as he could still dominate any team.
Steven Gerrard should be playing for Rangers as he'd still dominate any team insists Andy Goramhttps://t.co/C0QwbVoy6w pic.twitter.com/178SKu7Nzj

Rangers struggled to compete with their Glasgow rivals, Celtic last season. The Gers were demolished 9-0 on aggregate across their final two meetings against Brendan Rodgers’ side. last season as they missed out on winning a single trophy. Celtic completed Scottish football’s first ever back-to-back trebles after picking up all of the available major domestic honours over the last two years.
However, Goram believes that Celtic’s domestic dominance could come to a swift end if Steven Gerrard applied himself both on the pitch and in the dugout. At the age of 38, it’s fair to say that Stevie G’s playing days are mostly behind him after he hung up his boots up following a short spell with LA Galaxy in 2016, going straight into a coaching role with Liverpool’s U18s, which ultimately led to his job with Rangers.
