Rangers travelled to Rapid Vienna last night for their final fixture of the Europa League group stage.
It was a fixture which promised to be difficult but winnable for Rangers, but they conceded a late goal and crashed out of the competition following a 1-0 defeat.
They were well in the match for large spells but they failed to muster up too many goal scoring opportunities, and Rapid Vienna showcased the clinical edge which Steven Gerrard’s side were lacking on the night.
The Rangers supporters were naturally frustrated by the result and the performance of one player in particular, Lassana Coulibaly.
Coulibaly came in for huge criticism from the supporters on Twitter throughout proceedings, with plenty of the Gers faithful questioning where it’s all gone wrong for the summer recruit.
Coulibaly made an incredibly bright opening to life at Ibrox, impressing with his complete midfield displays.
The 22-year-old has since failed to build upon his promising start, and his dwindling reputation culminated last night following another underwhelming display.
Here’s what the Rangers fans had to say about Coulibaly’s performance against Rapid Vienna…
Coulibaly has been a weak link tonight, passing is awful

4 Million. Jesus 400k I would not pay. There is a player in there but he just looks lost recently. Which is a shame because there is space down that side but he is hopeless on the ball.

Coulibaly easily the worst performer tonight. Gives away possession far too often.
