These Tottenham fans want to sign Ben Chilwell

Leicester City travelled to face Arsenal on Monday evening in a fixture which many predicted to be a free-flowing affair, and those predictions proved prophetic as the hosts ran out 3-1 winners in a thoroughly entertaining fixture.

The Gunners may have come away with all three points but the early stages of the game were dominated by Leicester.

With chief orchestrator James Maddison pulling the strings in midfield, Leicester looked menacing in the first-half and they got their just reward shortly after the half hour mark when Ben Chilwell’s cross inadvertently deflected off Hector Bellerin beyond a stranded Bernd Leno.

But Bellerin’s own goal proved to be the catalyst for an Arsenal revival as Unai Emery’s men gained control and never looked like surrendering their advantage after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the hosts ahead in the second-half.

However, Chilwell’s first-half impact certainly caught the eye of a handful of Tottenham supporters and they called for their club to sign the marauding full-back.

What the fans might have missed is that Chilwell signed a new six-year contract with the Foxes on Saturday, so it seems extremely unlikely that he will be considering a move away from the King Power Stadium in the near future.

And even if the 21-year-old England international was willing to cut his long-term deal short Leicester would undoubtedly demand a huge transfer fee for his services.

Despite this huge obstacle, here’s what the Tottenham fans on Twitter had to say about Chilwell following his display against Arsenal…

Get rid of Ben Davies and go and sign Ben chilwell please mr levy!!!!
