Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the latest youngster Jurgen Klopp is bringing through the ranks.

Ben Woodburn has risen to fame quite rapidly this year, after breaking Michael Owen’s record for being the youngest goalscorer for Liverpool. He also scored his first international goal for Wales, bagging the winner against Austria on his debut, so it’s safe to say that Woodburn has had an eventful 2017 already.

Largely having to settle for games in the Carabao Cup before the Reds were knocked out of the competition by Leicester City, chances have come few and far between for the 18-year-old.

Reds boss Klopp thinks a spell out on loan will give the Welshman the first team minutes he needs to develop. Although with his old national boss Chris Coleman taking over at Sunderland recently, it could turn out, that possibly the Championship is a likely destination and our punters think there’s a chance he’ll end up at the Stadium of Light.

Still, you’d imagine there are many suitors for the young protégé’s services.

Danny Ings

Danny Ings has recently come back from yet another injury, and his Anfield career hasn’t turned out exactly as he would have hoped for since moving from Burnley a few seasons ago.

The English striker still has to lot to offer with a deadly goal to game ratio, so a move away from Liverpool should rejuvenate his career and give Klopp one less headache to fit into his attacking puzzle.

Has he slides down the Liverpool attacking pecking order, Ings must surely want to seal a January move away maybe even make a late bid for a World Cup spot with a dazzling second half to the season.

Lazar Markovic

The hugely expensive former Benfica man hasn’t impressed in his time at Liverpool. Although while he was loaned out last year to Hull City, he showed he has the potential to be a top quality player.

However, chances have come few and far between for the Serbian winger and he’s been largely a non-starter this season under Klopp, often not even making the bench.

A mid-table Premier League club or high-flying Championship side may be more his level and at the young age of 23, he’ll be looking to get out of Anfield to get first-team minutes under his belt.
