This season is shaping up to be Jurgen Klopp’s best opportunity to secure what will be Liverpool’s first title in 29 years.
The German, who’s now in his fourth season in charge at Anfield, is yet to win any silverware despite helping his team within reaching distance on a number of occasions.
However, following what seems to be two strategic exits from the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup Klopp has traded in his trophy chips for squad breaks in Dubai as he looks to cement the chances of securing the most revered trophies in club football.
With that said, here are our selections for two remaining games which will define Liverpool’s season.
Manchester United 22/02/2019
It’s a totally different story at Manchester United now. With Mourinho gone and Ole Gunnar Solskjær in charge, United look far better now compared to when they were pathetically beaten back in December.
United are slowly getting back to their old ways of displaying quick and exciting football that fans can truly get behind. Their superstars, who were mysteriously absent towards the end of Mourinho’s tenure, have come out to play, and this could spell trouble for Liverpool who will surely be feeling the heat after dropping points against Leicester and seeing Manchester City defeat one of the remaining “challenging” fixtures in Arsenal.
Klopp hasn’t always found it easy against United, as well. With only two wins in eight meetings, there’s clear evidence to suggest this could be a major challenge for his side to overcome should they wish to maintain their place at the top.
Indeed, Solskjær is well aware of the significance of the fixture of we expect he’ll have the team psyched up for this meeting.

Naturally, the significance of the final game of the season is heavily dependent on the events preceding it.
This match could be the title-winning game for Liverpool, and also a priceless opportunity for Wolves to land themselves a place in Europe – should they continue on their current trajectory.
We’ve already seen the visitors dismantle the top teams with their counterattacking football and there’s absolutely no reason why they couldn’t see of Liverpool for the second time in 2019. Or at the very least cause them to drop points.
