A number of Liverpool supporters are fuming after Thiago didn’t train with his team-mates ahead of the crucial Premier League clash away to Chelsea.
The Reds had a bitterly disappointing result in midweek, losing 1-0 away to Leicester City after an insipid performance at the King Power Stadium.
It felt like a damaging night in the title race, with Manchester City now nine points ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s side, albeit having played one game more.

On Sunday evening, Liverpool make the trip to fellow title challengers Chelsea for what feels like a must-win game for both teams, especially with the leaders playing the day before and having the opportunity to open a double-digit gap at the summit.
However, it looks as though the Reds could have to make do without Thiago, with the Liverpool Echo reporting [via Anfield Watch] that he didn’t train on Thursday after missing the Leicester match through muscle soreness, having just recovered from a viral infection.
