The Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern were very excited when reading their morning papers earlier today…
According to Mundo Deportivo (via The Sun), Liverpool are keen on a move for Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams.
The talented attacker has been impressing in La Liga as of late, and with Jurgen Klopp seemingly ready to launch a title challenge this season; he could be the perfect man to provide further reinforcement in the Liverpool attack.
The Reds haven’t struggled for goals by any means this season, and a few of the Liverpool fans in the Tavern have suggested that they have more than enough offensive depth – but Williams is a top player that would undoubtedly improve Liverpool.
With that said, this is the scarily good Liverpool front four including Inaki Williams….
LAM – Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane has been a revelation at Anfield so far this season, and he has certainly repaid his transfer fee already.
He looks a real threat down the wings, and offers a great option for Jurgen Klopp when he is looking to play more directly.
He can switch with Williams throughout the game and keep the opposition guessing.
What a player.
CAM – Coutinho
Coutinho is the star man in this Liverpool team – and he would no doubt be able to form a deadly partnership alongside Inaki Wiliams.
He is the man that makes this team tick – and everything goes through him.
He seems to be getting better and better every year; and Klopp will have to try and hold on to him for as long as possible.
RAM – Inaki Williams
Though naturally a striker, Inaki Williams has been playing on the right as of late – and has been impressing.
He has already picked up a goal and 2 assists so far this year, despite being played out of position – and it would appear that he is as strong out wide as he is down the middle.
Undoubtedly, Klopp will look to sign him for his versatility and ability to play as a striker – but the German would struggle to find a better right winger than Williams.
FWD – Daniel Sturridge
Jurgen Klopp has recently opted for Roberto Firmino ahead of Sturridge – but there is no doubting that the German would much rather have an in-form Sturridge leading the line.
When he’s on form, there are few better forwards than the electric Englishman.
He proved when he played alongside Luis Suarez that he was up there with the best, and was able to carry the weight of Liverpool on his shoulders for a good while following the Uruguayan’s departure.
If he can get his form and fitness back – there is nobody better to lead this line.
