Mo Salah this season has surprised us all in the pub, that’s for sure. Many thought it was a good buy when he arrived at the club in the summer, however, no one could have forecasted the return of goals he would bring to the table in such a short space of time.

Jurgen Klopp has to be praised by our regulars for the way he’s used the forward so far, but with obvious on the pitch success, comes to the inevitable European giants calling for the £72m rated by Transfermarkt star.

PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all reported to fight it out for Salah in the summer, with the number being thrown around of about £200m. That would be a great return on investment for Liverpool should he leave and could perhaps fund a major revamp throughout the whole side. In fact, some of our punters feel that even though it’s been one season in the Premier League, he should move on already for the greater of his career, and there are TWO reasons why…

Move on while the goings good

Many in the bar have seen it numerous times before, a player as an outstanding season and gets touted around with a big money move. For them to reject it and then nine times out of ten their careers remain stagnant and that big opportunity never comes again.

Jamie Vardy is the ideal example following Leicester City’s Premier League title win. He was touted with moves to some big clubs, and now he looks likely to stay at the Foxes and miss out on that levelling up. Salah can’t afford to do the same, he’s just too good.

Bigger stage

While the Premier League is the biggest league in the world, a move to the likes of Madrid, Barcelona and now PSG elevate them as a player to another level. Moreover, while he will achieve records at Anfield, the guarantee for trophies isn’t there like it is at the previously mentioned clubs.
