The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been toying with the idea of giving their 28-year-old injury-prone striker, Daniel Sturridge one more chance at Anfield. The former England man has won 26 caps and scored eight goals, including one in the 2014 World Cup, although he’s a long way off of being an international again, the Liverpool fans are prepared to give him one more go.

Sturridge is an interesting case. The striker swapped Stamford Bridge for Anfield in January 2013 and since then the forward has had an impressive goal ratio for the Reds, scoring 64 in 133 in his five and a half years as a Kopite. Unfortunately for both Sturridge and the fans, the striker has spent a long time on the sidelines with his shocking injury record. So far the 28-year-old has been given no chance at Anfield by the fans, but now he may be forcing the issue with Jurgen Klopp as he’s determined to stay and fight for his place.
Most Liverpool fans will have fond memories of Sturridge. The striker enjoyed the best season of his life under Brendan Rodgers at Anfield back in the 2013/14 season when he partnered up with Luis Suarez to score 25 goals in 33 games, including scoring eight in the club’s first nine Premier League games. That, though, looks a long way away from the Sturridge we’re all seeing now. This year the English talisman scored just three goals in 20 appearances for both Liverpool and West Brom after he was loaned to the Baggies for the second-half of the season to see them relegated.

I feel bad for Studge. Constantly hampered with injuries during his prime, can't get regular match time.
