Time for a new-look: These 2 Man United outcasts need to be axed

It’s been an interesting old season for Manchester United, who could have two major trophies in their cabinet and still consider things to have gone better.

Indeed, with the EFL Cup already won and the Europa League a possibility things should be looked on positively but it’s the league form that has let them down.

All that remains to be seen this season now, though, is whether or not the club are going to qualify for the Champions League next year – something that is crucial to the club.

Signings, meanwhile, are going to be needed to improve for next year, too, as well as the letting go of the deadwood.

So with some damning advice from our Red Devils mad punters, here’s 2 United outcasts that need to be axed by Mourinho this summer…

Wayne Rooney

Time is up at Old Trafford for Wayne Rooney and however hard it is to admit, it’s time for the former England star to move on and start again somewhere else.

He’s nowhere near the first-team picture and it’s clear that he’s not going to be breaking back into Mourinho’s first-team plans any time soon either.

This is a tough one for all to admit here in the pub but for the sake of the club moving forward, it’s time for Wayne to go.

Sam Johnstone

Johnstone is a decent enough ‘keeper but he’ll never be good enough to play for Manchester United regularly in the Premier League.

He’s on loan at Aston Villa at the moment and is doing a fine job so our landlord reckons he’d be best off making that move permanent and honing his craft in the Championship.

David de Gea and Sergio Romero are too good at the moment, and so any other ‘keeper will surely have to move elsewhere.
