Time to get real: These 2 Crystal Palace players are seriously out of their depth

Crystal Palace fans down in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed with their side’s efforts so far in the transfer window.

The Eagles have officially added just one signing to their books, with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek joining on a season’s long loan, but are expected to announce a deal for Jairo Riedewald imminently.

However, new boss Frank de Boer may be more concerned about the dismantling of his side.

Top scorer Christian Benteke has been linked with a switch to Everton.

De Boer recently issued a hands off warning to Ronald Koeman’s side, stating that the Belgian is not for sale.

Benteke netted 15 times in his debut season for Palace following his move from Liverpool.

As far as further outgoings are concerned, there are a number of squad players considered by our landlord to be dead wood at the club.

Steve Mandanda, Joe Ledley and Mattieu Flamini have all left.

And the landlord thinks these TWO out of depth Palace players should follow them out the door…

James McArthur

The Daily Mail report that the 29-year-old is ‘expected’ to leave Selhurst Park as new boss Frank de Boer looks to ‘re-shape’ his midfield.

McCarthur who joined Palace from Wigan in 2014 has been a mainstay throughout, but Palace fans can expect an improved midfield by the start of the season.

The former Wigan midfielder is clearly way out of his depth.

Connor Wickham

Some would argue that the Englishman ruined his career after joining Sunderland.

Wichkam has endured some rotten luck with injuries, including a recent cruciate ligament layoff last season.

He’s flattered to deceive during his spell at Palace and perhaps it’s now time to rebuild his career in the Championship.

Palace fans, are there any more that need to shown the exit? Let us know in the comments!
