Time to leave? These 2 Crystal Palace players’ careers are at a real crossroads

Crystal Palace are in a relegation scrap this year and with the players they’ve got our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern feels they shouldn’t really be anywhere near the drop zone, but for multiple reasons they are.

The Eagles have a number of players on their books that are simply class and some that just aren’t making the grade and for very various reasons they find themselves at a crossroads at the club and could well look to leave.

Sam Allardyce has made some great additions in January which could well make the difference in their battle to avoid the drop.

There’s a huge amount of players at the club at the moment, though, whilst others may start to feel they are being held back by the Eagles.

That in mind, they have a number of players that should leave for sure, so with that these two Crystal Palace players’ careers are at a real crossroads and should move on…

WILFRIED ZAHA

This one is not due to him being surplus to requirements at the club but quite the opposite in that he must leave the club in order to progress his career.

We all know it didn’t really work out the last time he left Palace for a bigger club but he was young then and he’s improved a lot since. At Palace he looks inconsistent at times but he needs to go to a club now that’s in the top six or seven where he can flourish.

BAKARY SAKO

The former Wolves man made a great impact when he first arrived at Selhurst Park and many thought with his traits and abilities that he would replace Yannick Bolasie when he departed for Everton.

However, it didn’t pan out that way for Sako and he now finds himself sat on the bench as an unused sub or some weeks not even in the match day squad – he simply has to leave in order to keep his career going at a high level.
