Spurs are arguably Chelsea’s biggest Premier League title rivals this campaign and there’s little doubt that if there is a team to take Antonio Conte’s Blues all the way, it’s them.
Their supporters here in the Tavern have been pleased with what has been another strong league campaign where they’ve been able to keep pace with the other top sides in the division, and really put pressure on the league leaders.
But there’s a lot still to do at White Hart Lane if they are to become a major force in English football and with all due respect, they need to get rid of some deadwood that they’ve still got in their ranks.
Punters here in the pub agree – if the side are to really push the likes of City, Chelsea and United out of the way at the top of the Premier League they need to lose some of the slack that still remains within the ranks.

Vincent Janssen
22-year-old striker Vincent Janssen has had a tough time of it since joining Spurs last year and it’s all down to the form of Harry Kane.
The Englishman quite simply won’t be dropped from the first-team and for Janssen, it’s really restricted his first-team opportunities.
But even when these have arisen, he’s not blown the fans here in the pub away and five goals from 32 appearances this campaign doesn’t inspire confidence.
He’s one that might be on the way to getting axed this summer so he needs to really show Pochettino what he can do inbetween now and May.
Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min really stepped up when Harry Kane faced a spell on the sidelines earlier this campaign but again, like Janssen, his play time has been seriously restricted when the Englishman came back into the side.
He’s bagged a very decent 11 goals already this season but for a player of his quality, he’s just not starting enough big games for his side.
The landlord here in the pub reckons he’s got the quality to lead the Spurs line but when you could be doing a job for another top team, will Son hang around?
