Time’s up: Klopp needs to end the Liverpool career of these 2 youngsters ASAP

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are just getting over the sale of a crowd favourite and now looking towards the future.

Liverpool have had a strong recent history in youth players with many of our punters remembering Micheal Owen, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and, in recent times, Ben Woodburn. While the Liverpool faithful love a local lad coming through the ranks, not all will make it, sadly enough.

Klopp possibly has some difficult decisions to make this month, by casting his eye over the young fringe players and seeing which ones are worth the time it’ll take to turn them into first-teamers.

With the departure of Coutinho, there’s space available to make the step up. Having held some long-winded discussions between themselves on the Thursday quiz night in the pub, our regulars believe that there’s a couple of players that need to be moved on.

Our landlord has drafted up a short list of two youngsters that Klopp needs to go out of the Anfield exit door to benefit both club and player…

Marko Grujic

Grujic is currently rotting in the u23’s as he struggles to get game time for the Reds in any competition this season, with interest shown in the midfielder from many clubs in both Premier League and Championship, Klopp should take the bid and let them Serbian go.

Alongside the incoming Keita in the summer, many of our punters can only imagine that first team minutes will be extremely hard to come by in the future for Grujic.

Ovie Ejaria

The midfielder hasn’t really pushed on since his breakthrough season last year, despite making eight first-team appearances and hugely impressing Liverpool boss Klopp along with many of the fans. This season he’s not featured once and is looking to move on in a bid to gain some regular football action, which Klopp should be willing to do.

Ejaria will also struggle at the moment to break into the team, especially with the current crop of attacking options Klopp has to choose from.
