‘Too much’, ‘People said the same about Mane’ - Liverpool fans are divided on latest major transfer link

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that a few big names join the club this summer…

The Reds have struggled in recent weeks, with a gap in quality beginning to extend between Jurgen Klopp’s side and the rest of England’s top sides.

Certainly, though, Liverpool are a club on the up. Under Jurgen Klopp, they have steadily maintained a threat near the top of the table, and our landlord is sure that they will regain their Premier League crown sooner, rather than later.

For that to come to pass, though, a few major signings will be required, with Liverpool needing to increase the overall quality of their side. There was a sense of delight in the Transfer Tavern, then, when the Telegraph hinted that Liverpool were keen on a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. One of Arsenal’s most talented players, the Englishman is apparently not happy with his current standing at the club.

Indeed, the Liverpool fans on Twitter have had a bit more of sombre reaction to the move, with fans divided on whether the reported £35m asking price is worth the cost…
