The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been sweating on the fitness of Sadio Mane for the last few days…
The winger suffered an injury over the weekend, leaving many in the pub fearing that his season could now be over. The Times reported earlier today that Liverpool were genuinely concerned that he could miss the rest of the season, and now it seems as though Jurgen Klopp has all but confirmed that news.
Though the true extent of his injury remains unclear, Klopp did confirm via the BBC that it was ‘possible’ that the injury could end Mane’s season – leaving the Reds in the Transfer Tavern drowning their sorrows.
Mane will be a big loss, given how crucial he has been this season.
Indeed, the Liverpool fans on Twitter have had a very similar response – with many now calling for Daniel Sturridge to step up and prove his worth under Klopp.
