Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to move away from Goodison Park in the close-season but is likely to remain in the Premier League, with Manchester United plotting a stunning swoop to add the Belgian and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann to their forward options.
However, their chances of signing Lukaku have been handed a huge blow as The Sun suggests the Premier League’s top-scorer will snub a move to Old Trafford this summer in favour of a dream return to Chelsea- where he failed to make the cut previously.
Lukaku failed to earn opportunities during his initial period with Chelsea, despite impressing on-loan with West Brom and Everton, and a reunion with Mourinho seems unlikely due to the fact it was the Portuguese boss who approved his exit.
With Antonio Conte now at the helm at Stamford Bridge now though and the Blues seeking a top-class striker to replace Diego Costa, our landlord believes Lukaku is almost certain to return to West London.
