Tottenham set to bid £85 million for one of “the world’s best teenage goalscorers”

Tottenham Hotspur have already enjoyed one of the most aggressive summers in Europe, and their spending shows no signs of slowing down.

The club have invested around £230 million on major additions including Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, while Andrew Robertson, Martin Dúbravka and Marcos Senesi have also arrived on free transfers.

After a disastrous 2025/26 campaign that saw Spurs flirt dangerously with relegation, Roberto De Zerbi is being backed heavily to transform the squad.

Now, another statement move appears to be in the works.

Spurs to Bid for Kroupi

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham are preparing an opening bid of around £85 million for Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi.

The Cherries are determined to keep hold of the 20-year-old this summer, but Spurs are ready to test their resolve with a huge offer. Arsenal have also been monitoring the France Under-21 international, who enjoyed a breakout Premier League campaign last season.

Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 league appearances, earning a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year award as Bournemouth secured a historic sixth-place finish and Europa League qualification.

Former Bournemouth midfielder Joe Partington has described him as one of “the world’s best teenage goalscorers”, highlighting the teenager’s remarkable finishing ability and potential.

Speaking on The Window, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook revealed: “Tottenham are preparing a potential £85million bid for Junior Kroupi to try and test Bournemouth’s resolve that he is not for sale this summer.”

Kroupi only joined Bournemouth in February 2025 on a five-and-a-half-year contract, but his rapid rise has already made him one of the most sought-after young forwards in Europe. Whether Spurs can convince the Cherries to cash in remains to be seen.
