Tottenham: Fans angry at Hugo Lloris injury blow

Many Spurs fans have reacted angrily to the news that first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of Wednesday’s FA Cup round-of-sixteen tie with Norwich City (@Dan_KP).

The Frenchman has not recovered from the groin injury that ruled him out of Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. He joins key players Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Moussa Sissoko on the sidelines which is adding to Jose Mourinho’s injury problems.

Lloris has played between the sticks 22 times this season, keeping just five clean sheets and conceding 29 goals (via FootyStats). This suggests the shot-stopper might not be missed all that much but second-choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga does not boast much better stats having conceded 30 goals and kept the same amount of clean sheets (5) in 25 games (via FootyStats).

However, Lloris is still the club-captain and many fans have reacted badly to the injury news:
