Several Tottenham fans have been applauding goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris for reaching 250 games in the Premier League.
Unfortunately for the Frenchman, though, his 250th league appearance for Spurs ended in defeat following a 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It should, however, not be disregarded because of that, as it truly shows what a great servant he has been for the club since joining from Lyon back in 2012.
In those 250 Premier League appearances, Lloris has kept just under 90 clean sheets, clean sheets that have helped Tottenham to top-four finishes and Champions League football as a result — you can see why one fan went as far as to call him the “GOAT”. And had he not picked up that elbow injury earlier on in the season, it could have been more while he would have also reached that 250-game landmark sooner.

What matters now, though, is that Jose Mourinho and Spurs have their first-choice ‘keeper back as they look to finish in the top four.
