Tottenham fans: Martial, de Ligt and £63m-rated star would complete perfect summer

The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been in fine spirits since Mauricio Pochettino signed a new 5 year contract with the club, and they are hoping to complete plenty more deals as the summer develops.

Now that speculation regarding Pochettino’s future with the club has been firmly put to rest, our resident Lilywhites are turning their attention towards their activity in the transfer market.

According to reports in The Daily Mirror, Pochettino is set to target Anthony Martial, Matthijs de Ligt and Ryan Sessegnon this summer after signing a new contract.

In response to the news, the Tottenham supporters expressed their desire to see both Martial and de Ligt in Tottenham shirts next season, but they also called for their club to make a sensational bid to re-sign Gareth Bale (valued at £63 million by Transfermarkt).

Tottenham have been consistently linked with a move for their former star ever since he left the club for Real Madrid back in 2013, but with the move into the new stadium on the horizon, it seems the supporters believe the new era could be ushered in with Bale’s arrival.

The likes of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Jamie Vardy have also been mentioned as potential candidates to move to Spurs this summer, however, Bale seems to be the supporters choice to join Martial and de Ligt in North London.

Here’s what the Tottenham Hotspur fans have had to say about Bale’s potential return on Twitter…
