Tottenham fans around the world were left absolutely gutted yesterday when a catalogue of errors saw them throw away a 2-1 lead and only take home a point from their away game at PSV Eindhoven. After the game, Mauricio Pochettino claimed that Hugo Lloris had nothing to apologise for, and the fans are saying that’s rubbish.

With Tottenham leading 2-1 and the game boiling down to the last ten minutes, a searching ball was aimed in the direction of Hirving Lozano. Lloris took it upon himself to clear the danger but was beaten to the ball by Lozano, cleaning the Mexican out and getting himself sent off. From there, very few Tottenham fans had faith and Michel Vorm could do nothing about PSV’s equaliser.
After the game, a very frustrated Pochettino claimed that his goalkeeper had nothing to apologise for and that he didn’t believe Lloris’ dismissal was a legitimate one. Unfortunately, the Argentine doesn’t have a leg to stand on and even the most optimistic of Tottenham fans have been slating Lloris for his error. Now, though, they’ve also turned on Poch for his frankly ridiculous comments as they believe Lloris is undefendable after last night.

In public certainly, but in private Poch has to be having reservations about Hugo’s increasingly erratic nature. If he isn’t then he should be.

The Lilywhites are fuming with Lloris and the last thing they want is to see Pochettino stand up and defend him after his PSV blunder.
