Tottenham fans on Twitter distraught as Sanchez suffers setback

Tottenham Hotspur have had the worst luck when it comes to injuries this year. The Lilywhites have seen pretty much their entire squad suffer an injury at some stage or another. The last man to be hitting the treatment room is Davinson Sanchez, who could face the rest of the year out injured, with a return targeted for the end of December.

Tottenham have currently got six first-team players out injured and with four of those being defenders, it leave Mauricio Pochettno thin on the ground in the way of selection for Chelsea tomorrow. One of those four players is Jan Vertongehn, who could be given a place on the bench, although he probably won’t start ahead of an important Champions League clash with Inter Milan next week.

The real blow is that Sanchez, as one of the best performers in a Spurs shirt this year, will be out for the clash. The young commanding defender has shown everyone that he has the potential to be a top defender and his first season at Tottenham last year was a huge success. Even in the early stages of this season the Colombian has racked up an impressive 14 appearances, and only recently suffered his hamstring injury, meaning he’s only missed one game so far with it.
