Tottenham fans all know that this summer will be a big one. European Champions or not, transfers will have to happen, and one rumour that will not go away is that of Gareth Bale’s return. The Welshman has a rich history at the club, and as Mauricio Pochettino spoke out Bale on El Chiringuito TV, via The Express, the fans are jubilant.

Gareth Bale, whether Zinedine Zidane likes it or not, is one of the best players in Europe when he’s fit and despite his massive wages at Real Madrid, he’s still worth his weight in gold when he’s out on the pitch with a ball at his feet. Whilst Zidane and Bale obviously have a fractious relationship, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Bale and Poch, and the Lilywhites are delighted by that fact.
The way that Mauricio Pochettino has got this Tottenham squad working in perfect harmony and playing well together is something to be admired, and whilst there are one or two superstars in the squad, none are on the level of Bale on the worldwide footballing scene. Should he re-sign for the Lilywhites it would be a massive statement, and there is nothing that the fans want more than for him to return at some point.
