The transfer window has been a bleak time for Spurs fans, the club is yet to make a signing and even on the outgoings the only move of note is Keanan Bennetts to Borussia Monchengladbach. However, according to The Evening Standard, the club could be set to recoup around £30 million in the sale of Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente.

Understandably, inflation in the transfer market has seen some players going for ridiculous ballooned fees that should never be happening. Despite this, getting anywhere near £30 million for Llorente and Janssen is daylight robbery from Daniel Levy. The Tottenham chairman is known for being a tough negotiator and if he can get decent money for Tottenham’s two megaflops then the fans will be in jubilation.
Spurs haven’t been able to find an adequate striker to fill in for Harry Kane. Emmanuel Adebayor was used alongside the England man before being allowed to leave and Roberto Soldado has also failed alongside the current two flops. It feels like the club will never get a striker who can deputise for their talisman and if they can’t then the fans will be happy to see Mauricio Pochettino and co put the money to better use in the market.

As you can see, the fans are in disbelief over the fact they could be set to make a huge fee for two of their biggest flops in recent history.
