Tottenham fans will be desperate to put their Turf Moor disappointment behind them as quickly as possible. This weekend gave the Lilywhites the chance to cut the gap at the top of the table to just two points, yet they fell to a 2-1 defeat as a number of players failed to perform, one of those was Juan Foyth and there were celebrations when he was subbed.

The young Argentine defender has had an up and down season in his breakthrough year at the club. The 21-year-old gave away two penalties on his Premier League debut in a 3-2 win over Wolves before scoring the only goal of the game and winning the man of the match award on his second appearance in the competition. That turbulent week just sums up his Spurs career so far.
It was just over a week ago that the youngster put in a mature performance as he helped Mauricio Pochettino’s side past Borussia Dortmund 3-0 in the Champions League, yet yesterday he was well off the pace. The youngster looked out of place at times and fans were left questioning whether or not he’s ready for this level. In the end, Foyth’s substitution in the 76th minute was celebrated by the fans and they’ll be fuming if he features against Chelsea in the week.

Sensible substitution as @JuanMFoyth is a serious liability! #THFC #COYS

The Lilywhites were far from happy with Foyth and would prefer to see him left out of their next two huge games in the Premier League.
