Tottenham made Tanguy Ndombele their most expensive signing in history over the summer when the Lilywhites paid out a fee that could eventually rise to £70m for the Frenchman (BBC).

However, it has now become apparent by France Bleu Picardie, via Get French Football News, that hackers have tried to steal £1.9m that was paid to Amiens as part of Tottenham’s deal to sign Ndombele from Lyon. The transaction was blocked, but a formal investigation has been opened.
With the news of the hackers and in the knowledge that no money has been stolen from any club after Ndombele’s huge summer move, a few Tottenham fans have been making the joke that Daniel Levy, a notoriously tough to deal with businessman as eluded to by Sam Allardyce on talkSPORT recently, was the perpetrator for the attempted stolen money.
