Tottenham Hotspur fans have been in meltdown over the last few days. The Lilywhites have been trying to work out what they’ll do to get by without Harry Kane until the beginning of March, and some of them have been calling for the young Troy Parrott to be used, although Football.london’s Alasdair Gold has claimed he may not be ready.
I've seen plenty of people calling for 16-year-old Troy Parrott to be handed a chance during Harry Kane's absence. Here's a piece on the very talented young Irish striker and whether he's actually ready yet. https://t.co/qw1yFx0pbL

Alasdair Gold is usually one of the most reliable sources around when talking Tottenham Hotspur, although the Lilywhites will be hoping that he’s got this one wrong as he claims Parrott likely won’t be used in the coming weeks to fill in for Kane. The Irish youngster is still working his way through the club’s development squads, and as he’s yet to make an impact in U23s football, his senior chances are slim.
That doesn’t mean that he has no chance of getting some game time, and Pochettino may opt to use the striker if he finds himself two or three nil up in a game to give the 16-year-old the experience. However, the odds of him being looked at to lead the line in Kane’s absence ahead of the likes of Lucas Moura or Fernando Llorente are minuscule, even if the Tottenham fabs below are desperate to see him used.
You can read those fans’ calls here:
Play him. Can’t be any worse than Loldado, Janssen and when Sissoko was up front. Give the lad a chance. I seem to recall a VERY young Michael Owen vs Argentina when everyone thought he was too young…

I think if Poch feels he is ready then no harm in him on the bench to bring on in games when we are 2 or 3-0 up

The Lilywhites would love to chance it with Parrott, even if he might be a few years too young at the moment.
