There are a lot of players out there in this transfer market that would command a £70 million fee to prise them from their club. Unfortunately, Wilfried Zaha is not one of them, although Crystal Palace seem to think he is. According to The Daily Mail, the price tag is putting long-term admirers, Spurs off of the Ivorian as they explore cheaper alternatives.

Zaha is a very talented player who brings goals, assists, creativity and an outlet. He’s capable of going one vs one against defenders and breaking down deep blocks, that would come in very handy if he were to be plying his trade at a top club, however, it looks like he won’t get the opportunity to play for a top club as Palace are pricing him out of a move. Reports have previously suggested he’s happy at Selhurst Park and that’s probably best given his price tag.
Borussia Dortmund, Everton and Spurs are all taking an interest in the player, although with such a ludicrous fee demanded, it’s likely he’ll be a Palace player past the summer transfer deadline day. Instead, Spurs and other clubs will be forced to look at other options. The likes of Malcom from Bordeaux will be viable options that the Lilywhites will have to look at in the coming weeks.
The thoughts of the Spurs fans on Zaha are below:

As you can see, no sane Tottenham fan is okay with seeing their club splash £70 million on Wilfried Zaha.
