Tottenham fans on Twitter weren’t at all happy after Cherries defeat

The sooner yesterday is forgotten about the better as far as Tottenham fans are concerned. They’ve had some horrendous injury woes and have struggled domestically this season, but yesterday was their 13th league loss of the season and that isn’t good enough. After the game, Mauricio Pochettino gave his thoughts but the fans weren’t having it.

After the game, Tottenham’s official Twitter account released a 23-second video of Pochettino talking about the game, where he branded the loss ‘a little bit unlucky’. The fans don’t believe that applies, though, and even though they had two men sent off in Juan Foyth and Heung-Min Son, the loss at Dean Court being their 13th is simply not good enough, especially with Champions League football in the balance.

There are no secrets that a win yesterday would have seen the Lilywhites confirm themselves a spot in the top four this season, thus giving them Champions League football, but now it will go down to the last day. Next Sunday they face Everton at home on the Premier League’s final day, and a win will give them a guaranteed top four finish, whilst a loss could see them stuck in the Europa League. For now, though, the fans are still a mixture of seething, let down and disappointed about yesterday.

The Lilywhites can’t be blamed for being down over the performance and the result, and they’ll just be desperate for a result in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
