When it comes to exciting young Dutch footballers, there are quite a few that Tottenham fans would love to sign. Frenkie De Jong, Matthijs De Ligt and Memphis Depay have all made headlines for being on a number of big club’s wishlists, although this time around it’s Nathan Ake who has been linked with a move and the defender has been talking about the links.

Nathan Ake would be a perfect fit at Tottenham. The young Dutchman knows the Premier League well from his tme at both Chelsea and Bournemouth and after he’s impressed everyone since joining the Cherries back in summer 2017 it could be time for him to make the next step and consider a move to North London. Mauricio Pochettino has a superb record with youngsters and of Ake was to join he would only prosper under Poch’s guidance.
Davinson Sanchez joined the club last summer from Ajax and whilst most fans would have De Ligt, Sanchez’s old partner at Ajax, as their first choice, Ake ticks all the boxes and would likely be a lot cheaper than the already well-known De Ligt. If Ake did move, it’s likely that Pochettino and co would have competition from Manchester United, who are also linked with the ex-Chelsea man, although if both teams continue on the same trajectory that they’ve started the season, it will be a no-brainer for Ake to pick Spurs.

The Spurs fans would love to get Ake on board and if they can get him in January then most fans would jump at the chance.
