Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to a report linking the club with a summer move for centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.
According to Fichajes, as relayed by Ricky Sacks, the north London outfit have now submitted a bid in the region of £27m for the defender, who has been performing well for French side Lille this term.
Gabriel, who has been touted as “one of the top five central defenders in Europe” by Lille president Gerard Lopez, has featured 24 times for the Ligue 1 outfit this term and his impressions have gained interest from a number of clubs.
Winning 1.7 tackles and averaging 3.3 clearances per game via WhoScored, Gabriel could be seen as the perfect option for Mourinho to shore up his defence ahead of next season. Further to the report, the Spanish website also claims that Mourinho has ‘personally’ requested his signing this summer.
