One of the biggest ongoing sagas of the summer came in the form of Paulo Dybala, the Juventus forward who looked set for a move away from the Italian club amid concerns about his potential game-time in Turin.
A host of top-flight clubs were understood to be interested in capturing the Argentinian’s signature – notably Manchester United and Tottenham. Neither materialised, however, and the 25-year-old now remains in Italy until January at least.
Heavy links between Tottenham and Juventus over the attacker remain, though, with the Daily Star reporting that the north Londoners will be offered the chance to sign him again when the January window re-opens in four months’ time.
With the departure of Fernando Llorente this summer, Harry Kane remains the only striker Spurs have available to them this season and if the England international picks up an injury, it could spell disaster for the club, who have already started the campaign poorly following just one win in four.
News of potential re-negotiations with Juve over the 25-year-old in January surfaced on Twitter earlier, and this is how some fans reacted…
If we start negotiations now we might get him in the summer!
