Tottenham: Fans reluctantly agree with Paul Merson for comments about Spurs’ front line

Many Tottenham fans could not help but agree with Arsenal legend Paul Merson after he suggested that it is difficult for a team to succeed with one recognised striker.

The former Arsenal man has not been shy with his thoughts on Spurs in the past and his latest views indicate just that. Speaking on Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday (via Last Word on Spurs), he questioned what successful teams have played with one striker at the football club and been successful.

This comes after Harry Kane’s hamstring injury, picked up in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton. With no out-and-out replacement, the north London side have struggled, picking up just 10 points before yesterday’s Premier League tie against Wolves, as per Fotmob. Supporters did not want to agree with the ex-Gunners’ man, but could not help themselves, and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he hates Merson but he has a valid point.
